Everyone loves a good coffee shop don’t they? Glasgow has a wealth of great places to grab a good coffee but a personal favourite is Kaf Coffee, on Hyndland Street in Partick. Kaf is a very small but perfectly formed speciality coffee shop, cafe and bakery which always seems to have a queue out the door.
It has a super chilled and friendly atmosphere, and owner Leo’s grin as you walk through the door makes you feel instantly welcome. Although it is small, it doesn’t feel cramped., just cosy and intimate. There are two tables and a small stool/bar area at the back, and a kitchen behind. Lots of blonde wood, white walls and plants give the space a really Scandinavian feel.
KAF is famous for its popular Scandi Plates featuring boiled egg, bacon, cheese, new potato, hummus, sourdough, fruit and granola yoghurt pots. There is also a vegan version with veggie haggis, avocado and slaw replacing the egg, bacon and cheese. Also on the menu are the Babka French Toasts, a personal favourite being the lemon and pistachio frangipane with berries and cream (below), salt beef sandwiches, eggs benedict and aubergine gyros.
Displayed in the window, is a selection of delicious cakes and bakes which are made on the premises.
The selection changes all the time but if you’re really lucky, you might just get a rhubarb and custard croissant or a pork and fennel sausage roll. Oh, and their chocolate cake! Keep an eye on their instagram stories to see what’s on offer that day.

Food aside, speciality coffee reigns supreme here so if you love coffee, you’ll really love this place. The blend changes weekly so there is always something new to try and it is always made with love and care.
