Carters is a brand new deli on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands, selling a fantastic selection of pastas, condiments, sauces, chutneys, oils and vinegars as well as tea, coffee, cakes and lunch for sitting in.

This is the kind of deli that you end up spending way longer than you anticipated in, as you take in everything on offer. The shelves are lined with some really fantastic products, many of which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Glasgow.

One such item is the award winning Tenuta Marmorelle ‘ZERO’ extra virgin olive oil, which received a Gold Award in the 2016 New York International Olive Oil Competition. It tastes incredible and the bottles are stunning.

Launched by Colin Campbell and Ian McLachlan, who used to run 1901, this is a terrific addition to Shawlands, which is fast becoming a foodie destination.

Top quality products such as Brindisa’s chorizo (both piccante and dulce) and morcilla and Eat17’s Chorizo Jam will make chorizo lovers jump for joy.

Hot and cold food is available over the counter and is made fresh every day by chef Colin.

They currently have a beautiful selection of luxury Italian Easter eggs and will be raffling the largest one, weighing a whopping 2kg, for Cancer Research.

If you love high quality food products, tasty cakes and great coffee, Carters is the place for you.
