Think Glasgow has enough Burger joints? Well it seems there is room for one more with Bath St. Burger opening up in Glasgow’s City Centre this Wednesday 14th November. Serving up high quality burgers, shakes, craft beers, cocktails and 70s funk, soul and disco with an awesome graffiti backdrop, specially commissioned by Glasgow’s very own Rogue One this sounds right up my street!
Their menu includes The Kevin Bacon Burger (double beef patties, a double dose of smoky bacon and American cheese), The Brisket Burger (double beef patties topped with slow cooked BBQ beef brisket, gherkins and French mustard), Thunder Bird (Kentucky chicken breast, double smoky bacon, American cheese & BBQ sauce) and The Halloumi Chip Butty (deep fried halloumi with spicy feta sauce, lettuce, tomato tahini, red onion and sumac) amongst many others.
Below is The Babe…Double beef patty topped with slow cooked pulled pork and American cheese, served with red cabbage slaw & BBQ sauce, and sweet potato fries on the side.
To wash it down? A Chocolate Orange Shake made with vanilla ice-cream, orange juice, chocolate and orange zest, which you can add Cointreau and chocolate liqueur to in order to give it a kick!
Truffle Fries (skin-on with truffle oil, rosemary, cracked pepper and parmesan) sound fab, but if you like your fries a little messier, their Chilli Cheese Fries (skin-on fried topped with homemade brisket, chilli, hot queso cheese and jalapeños) will be more your style.
To wash down your food down they have a great selection of milkshakes, or if you’re looking for something a little ‘harder’, they also serve Hardshakes, (Salted Caramel Rum Shake anyone?) Cocktails and Craft Beers. They have teamed up with BrewDog and will be serving their Punk IPA, their brand new Lost Lager and regular BrewDog guest specials – the first one being Cybernaut, a lightly filtered beer with tropical notes of juicy, mango, peach and apricot.
The soundtrack to these burgers, shakes and cocktails? 70’s funk artists such as Kool & the Gang, George Benson, Blondie & Michael Jackson. The dominating interior features a graffiti wall, created by Bobby McNamara AKA Rogue One, one of the most famous street artists in Europe.
Food and drink will be served from 12 noon – 10pm every day, and from 10pm, they clear the tables, flick a switch and the place becomes a beer and cocktail bar until 1am.
Oh, and to celebrate their opening, they are giving away their first 100 burgers from 12noon this Friday 16th Nov for free! First come, first served.
